According to the Global Wealth Report 2026 published by the Boston Consulting Group, Hong Kong has surpassed Switzerland to become the world's largest cross-border wealth management centre. The Report also projects that, from 2025 to 2030, the cross-boundary wealth managed by Hong Kong will grow by 9% on average annually, maintaining its first place globally. This historic milestone is driven by the financial sector's dedication and innovation. By diversifying products, driving digital transformation, and expanding interconnectivity businesses, the industry strengthens Hong Kong’s core competitiveness as an international financial centre.

The 12th "Financial Institutions 2026", organized by Bloomberg Businessweek/Chinese Edition, aims to recognize remarkable financial institutions in the banking, insurance, and securities and investment sectors based on their performance over the past year. The recognition covers multiple fields, including products, services, marketing strategies, sustainability, talent development, and fintech.
